Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic root canal treatment process. Dentistry, dental restoration concept. Tooth decay caries disease development

Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic therapy, is a dental procedure used to treat a tooth with an infected or damaged pulp (the inner part of the tooth). During the procedure, the infected or inflamed pulp is removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned, disinfected, and sealed. This treatment saves the natural tooth, relieves pain, and restores its function. It is typically followed by the placement of a dental crown to protect and strengthen the treated tooth. Root canals are a common solution for teeth with severe decay, infection, or trauma.
